Escape Temptation Board Game

Use this game anytime you are talking about being tempted to sin and how we should escape temptation.  We used it while studying 1 Corinthians 10:13, but you could use it while teaching about the life of Joseph or the temptations of Jesus, or even the Fall.  Our kids really enjoyed it.

Materials: Board game, dice, cards (you can take enough so you can let groups of 2-4 have their own game.)

Directions:  Have the kids take turns rolling the dice.  If they land on a spot with an T, then they are facing temptation.  They must draw a card and see what temptation they are facing. Then, they roll the dice.  If they roll a 1-3 they get to draw an “escape” card, but if they roll a 4-6, they give in to the temptation and sin and must draw a “consequence” card.  Once every player gets to the last spot the child with the most “escape” cards is the winner.

  1. Game looks like fun but I’m confused. It makes reference to 3 different sets of cards: temptation, escape and consequence. I only see 2 to print: temptation and consequence (plus the game board). I’m confused. Can someone please clarify as I’d like to use it this coming Sabbath.

    1. Hi Donella, no wonder you were confused. I did not post the “escape” cards when I originally posted the game, but I fixed it and they are there now. Thank you for pointing that out. I hope that clears up any confusion. Please let me know if there are any more questions or problems. I hope your kids love it like ours did! God bless you. Sincerely, Jessica

  2. Just made the game board and cards. Cannot wait to use them in SS tomorrow. Our lesson is, of course, the temptation of Jesus. thanks so much for posting.

    1. You are so welcome! Our kids loved that game, especially the boys. If you get a chance, let me know how it went! God bless!
